CAMERA + MICROPHONE

Stream Link uses camera and microphone access only to preview, encode, and transmit the live feed to the destination selected by the user. Media goes directly to the X RTMPS endpoint entered by the user or to the user's SRT receiver. MORFMOD INC does not operate an intermediary media server and does not receive or retain the stream through the app.

X LIVE DATA

If configured, Stream Link communicates directly with X and its Periscope-compatible service to retrieve public broadcast information, live-chat messages, and available counters. An optional X App-Only Bearer Token is sent only to api.x.com for supported public metrics. The app displays read-only data and does not post messages.

LOCAL DATA + CREDENTIALS

Saved RTMPS credentials and an optional X token are encrypted locally with Android Keystore AES-256-GCM. The SRT passphrase is not saved. The app disables Android backup and device transfer. It contains no advertising, third-party analytics, or remote crash-reporting SDK.

DIRECT UPDATE CHECKS

The direct-download edition checks this website's latest.json file at most once every 24 hours while the app is visible and not streaming. Like an ordinary website request, the hosting provider may temporarily log an IP address, time, user agent, and requested file for security and delivery. No advertising ID, camera data, microphone data, stream key, X token, or chat content is sent in this check.

An APK downloads only after the user taps DOWNLOAD. Before Android's installer opens, Stream Link verifies the declared size, SHA-256 digest, package identity, higher version, non-debuggable status, and the same app-signing certificate. Installation still requires user confirmation.

BITCOIN DONATIONS

The download page contains a static Bitcoin address, QR image, and wallet link. Stream Link and MORFMOD INC do not use a payment processor or tracking script for this feature. Bitcoin addresses, balances, and transactions are publicly visible on the Bitcoin blockchain; do not donate if that public record is unacceptable to you.

RETENTION + EXTERNAL SERVICES

Stream Link does not record the media feed. Recent chat remains in a bounded in-memory cache. Local settings remain until cleared or the app is uninstalled. X, a selected streaming destination, the website host, Android, and Google Play may process data under their own terms.

SECURITY + CHILDREN

Security controls reduce risk but cannot eliminate every vulnerability in a phone, network, operating system, or external service. Stream Link is not designed for children.
